Tan has come all the way from Edgewater College to work with the children at flying fives.. Look at the fantastic train track the children have set up today. The trains are a favourite activity for many of the students when they come to flying fives. Thank you Tan for helping us today.

Densyn and Tavyn are learning how to sew.. We are making mice.

Mrs Donna was teaching us how to make a fish. We were learning lots of new skills. Tracing around a shape, punching holes and threading.

WALT sew using big needles and wool. Today we started sewing our mice. We filled the bodies with cotton wool.

We are playing super heroes. They have powers that make them strong.

Superman can fly. Batman can fly, shoot lasers, kick and punch. Iron man punches the bad guys.

Alexxa - I was in the sickbay because i needed to put the ice pack on my toe. I had all the soft toys on my lap.

Be and Jaylee are playing shops. Be is the shopkeeper and Jaylee has come to do her shopping.

Daniel, Lawrence and Riley are enjoying playing with the trains. First they had to work together to set up the track and then they could use the trains to go around the the track.

Aarush and David are enjoying talking together through the puppets.

Matheus and Aarush are enjoying the puppet theatre. They are using different voices and being different characters.

Today I am a cow girl. I am like Woody off Toy Story. I like dressing up when I am at Flying Fives.

The girls are packing a health school lunch box.

Riley - Today was fun at the woodwork table. I was learning to hit the nail on the top so it would go in straight.

Phoenix - I am being very careful using the sharp saw to cut the wood. I had to go backwards and forwards. It took a long time to cut the wood. I was very happy when I had cut it. Once I had cut my piece of wood into 2 pieces I hammered the short piece onto the long piece and made a sword. The safety glasses stopped the sawdust from getting in my eyes.

Phoenix is working in the shop today. Unique had to find $2 to buy the tea bags.

Be is using a hammer to help fix our little play house because one of the boards was coming off. Thank you Be for your help.

We made Yankee Doodle Hats to go with Yankee Doodle who went to town. We had to do a lot of paper folding and listening to instructions. This went with a Nursery Rhyme.

Flying Fives is a busy room on a Monday and a Thursday afternoon.

Densyn - I made my own sword. First I had to cut my piece of wood with the saw then I used the hammer to nail the short piece to the long piece.

Daniel is learning to saw at Flying Fives. It is hard work. But Daniel kept at it and was able to cut through the wood.

Densyn, Matheus and Tanei - We are having a battle. The soldiers are standing on a bridge. They are getting ready to fight the bad guys.

Zikria and Unique have fun outside playing with the water. We have a new waterwall and deck so we have a great space for playing outside when the water is out.

Sisilia and Alexxa - We are cleaning the play house.

On a Monday and a Thursday Room 4 and some of the students in Room 3 go to Flying Fives in Room 10. Flying Fives is a busy Room. There are lots of activities for the students to choose from. We learn a lot through play.

Ane and Sisilia - We are having our food. We set the table together.

Densyn - I like playing at Flying Fives. The dinosaur is fighting the soldiers. The dinosaur is winning.

Matheus - I am an action hero. I do good things. I help fight the bad guys.

Genesis is taking good care of her little baby.

The students have set the table ready for their family so when the food is cooked they can eat their dinner.

Unique - I am going shopping with my baby.

Zikria - Today I am superman.

Welcome to Flying Fives Ane. This is my first time at the Flying Fives. I like the kitchen because there are lots of things for me to play with.

Ane, Be, Sisilia and Densyn are busy in the kitchen.

Aarush - I am playing the the spiderman. I like spiderman.

Laurence and Riley are playing with the trains. First they had to put the train track together. The trains have batteries that make them move around.
